SPORTS HALL AT BERT BRECHT GRAMMAR SCHOOL, DORTMUND KIRCHLINDE
The new sports hall at the Bert Brecht Gymnasium in the Dortmund district of Kirchlinde replaces an old hall next to the school building. The attractively designed new sports hall was built using high-quality materials. The project planning was set up using the BIM planning method. As a Design & Build project, the hall was realized in a lean design, which reduced the construction time.
The building, including changing and storage rooms, is designed to be barrier-free. It is possible to divide the hall into three parts so that several groups can train at the same time. The hall is open for use not only by students of the grammar school but also by local clubs.
The ambitious insulation concept of the passive house construction of the hall guarantees a minimum of energy input over the next 40 years.
A minimum of energy input was, besides the highest possible safety, also decisive for the selection of the right partner for emergency and safety lighting. The use of LED technology for a maximum service life with minimum energy consumption was a basic requirement. So, the final decision was made in favour of a FiSCHER ZBX central battery system with a total of 66 LED escape sign and safety luminaires in different versions for lighting escape routes and as an anti-panic version for lighting surfaces. 21 escape sign luminaires of the types C4WE83L and F1UE83L as well as 45 safety luminaires of the types HAWE99X, AWEE98X, AWEE94X and AWDE99X were used.
